Nadgee roaring forty

Postby Camanche73 » Wed Oct 19, 2016 7:16 pm

Just wondering if anybody out there owns one or has paddled one? Just seeking opinions on speed/handling/tracking and build quality?
They look fantastic, but seems to be zero reviews about them.

Hi Comanche73,

When I was shopping for a new boat I asked Lawrence (Gages) at Nadgee the difference between the Solo and Roaring 40:
"The difference between the two boats is huge , the R40 is designed to carry a load and without a load she can be described as tippy as she is sitting ontop of the water rather than in the water as she does when carrying a load, fit out wise she is similar in fit out as the Nadgee Solo.
The Solo is 5.3mtrs 57cm wide & R40 5.5mtrs 51cm wide"

There are a few owners of the R40 on this forum I hope they can add more.

Lawrence is right about the R40 being tippy if it isn't loaded.

I had a very short paddle in a borrowed one and that was my immediate impression.

As I weigh about 62kg, it was a long way below its optimum total weight.
