Current Designs Prana

Postby mikkelkg » Sat May 27, 2017 4:48 am

Hello all

I'm looking to buy my first fibreglass sea kayak. The kayak would have to be a bit of an all-round kayak, but I will probably mostly use it for day trips and weekend trips. I've been looking at the "Prana" by Current Designs. I haven't had the opportunity to test it yet, but hopefully I will get to do so next week.

Does any of you have any experience with the Prana?

Never seen one in the flesh, but looks nice. Interesting the skeg is an optional extra though. Would want to know how it tracks without it first.

Hi, I'm late to this thread, but I have paddled the CD Prana and can tell you I was very impressed with everything about the boat. It's on my short list of best sea kayaks. The looks, handling, and speed of the boat are superb. If I could only have five sea kayaks, the Prana would be there.
