Mackay north

Postby sandym » Sat Aug 05, 2017 6:47 pm

Planning a trip from Mackay north to Airly or Shute. Have done the standard Whitsundays numerous times. Most parties seem to leave from Blacks Beach and head to Brampton/Carlisle, but St Bees and Keswick are also national park and look interesting. Has anyone been out to either of those two islands? The crossing from Blacks Beach is similar length whether you go Keswick/St Bees or Brampton/Carlisle, although the latter is a bit more northerly.

When was that Maccas? Did you get water from the tank at Western Bay on Brampton? Any other water along the way?

Six years ago, we went water sufficient for 10 days. However we gained water from storms, tank at camp site on island opposite Brampton and Lindeman island.
