Very happy to find this forum. After a quick glance through I can see lots of useful & interesting posts!
A friend taught me the basics and introduced me to sea-kayaking almost 10 years ago, but we lost touch and I hadn't been in a boat untill three months ago when I broke down and bought a cheap Seabird PE HV from Anaconda.
So glad I finally did it... out on Corio Bay or the Barwon river every chance I get and loving it!
Looking fwd to getting my skills up to the point that I can do some weekend or long-distance trips
I'm also planning to build a stitch & glue boat as soon as I can decide on a design (any suggestions welcome).
Bernie, I guess that was you I met on Sunday at eastern beach,
Let me know when you want to go out again
Not sure if its worth joining NSWSKC ... they say it can take a month for membership to process
