To place it on record, a small group paddled from Darbys Falls to Paytons Bridge in February 2017. We also have contact now with a local who has paddled it often over the last 15 years and is more aware of its changing dangers and moods. In grading systems it falls between the cracks, not exactly low grade white water, and calling it moving or swift water doesn't give an adequately safe description. There are real dangers of being caught in numerous strainers if you are not prepared and experienced for it. Some of the access points can be a real hazard under certain conditions.
